He draws attention to the fact that Aristotle's set of logical and methodological writings, traditionally called Organon, is not the right way of acquiring knowledge. Between Bacon's new method and Aristotle's system are at first sight many apparent differences. A closer look could reveal that the border between them is not as sharp as it appears. The aim of this study is to highlight some of theirs similarities mainly with focus on their strong metaphysical belief that behind things we are able to reveal something common and constitutional for them. Even so sharp a difference between Aristotle and Bacon, as their evaluation of common beliefs as starting points of inquiry or question what is the goal of theoretic activity surely is, is defocused in this paper. This creates the reason why I prefer to call Bacon rather an Aristotle's heir than his opponent.
