Aither is a double-blind peer review, Open Access online academic journal. It is indexed at ERIH+ and Scopus. It is published by the Faculty of Arts of the Palacký University in Olomouc in cooperation with the Philosophical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It comes out twice a year. Every second issue is international and contains foreign-language articles (mainly in English, but also in German and French). The journal is registered under the number ISSN 1803-7860.

The article is aimed at the philosophical interpretation of Isocrates' work Antidosis. It consists of six sections. First, Antidosis is briefly introduced to readers with its intertextual links to earlier works of Isocrates and its parallels with Plato's Apology. At the same time the author notes Isocrates' linking with sofists previously refused by him after the fashion of his teacher Gorgias.
The second section is devoted to Gorgias. It is briefly summarizing the author's earlier monograph, which contains an extensive interpretation of Gorgias' philosophy of non-being. Furthermore, the author reports its interpretation of Gorgias logoplastics - a rhetorical philosophy of Helen and Palamedes. The result of this interpretation is consistent, but the peculiar philosophical position; an alternative to the concept of academic philosophy (from Plato until today).
The third section is dedicated to the concept of Isocrates' practical philosophy, which later became the basis of the concept of humanistic education in Cicero and the humanists.However, the author shows that this philosophical approach requires "gorgian" assumptions outlined above.
The fourth section presents in detail main and most original topic of Isocrates - the systematic education through the logos. The fifth section then follows confrontation of Isocratean education and practical philosophy of Plato's theoretical concept of life. Again positions of Isocrates reveals itself as an unsustainable approach, without accepting implicit "gorgianic" premises.
The final section assesses Isocrates as a thinker in general, not only on the basis of Antidosis.Concludes that it is an extremely influential figure in particular in the field of pedagogy, rhetoric and political philosophy. Author interprets work of Isocrates as a development of original, but too controversial ideas of Gorgias of Leontin.
